If you are headed to Nashville for a few days, you may not know where to start in such a big city, with such little time. But, it is a popular destination for a reason, good music and great food! If you only have a short time in Nash, you can fit a little bit of everything into a long weekend. Here’s how to perfectly spend 3 days in Music City!
One of my favorite things from my Nashville trip was arriving to our Elvis themed AirBNB and getting to look around! The dining room had Elvis pictures, as well as some of the bedrooms. This was very exciting for me because Elvis is from 45 minutes away from where I grew up as a child! I also am a Realtor, so seeing a new house is always fun.
Once arriving to the house, we greeted my boyfriend’s family and friends, who we will be staying with, and started to unpack. Another great thing about Nashville is that a lot of bachelorette parties are held here. We found the cutest pink cowgirl hats that might or might not have made it to the bars with us…
After getting settled, we loaded up the car and drove the few minutes to downtown. There are plenty of great places to check out for food, as well as places to shop.
The crew was excited to try Nashville Hot Chicken, and as the vegan/vegetarian I am, I didn’t want to get left out, so I tried the completely vegan Hot Chk’n Biscuit from a restaurant called Glaze. Though Nashville Chicken might be a must-try, your body might thank you if you skip out on this meal.
After relaxing and unpacking, we were ready to call the uber to see what Nashville’s night life was like. Nashville during the day is a completely different experience than Nashville at night.
We made the night count. We started at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar. It had a fantastic bartender, and an okay band. We spent a while here before deciding to head to the next bar, Honky Tonk Central. Considering the band was singing happy birthday to the crowd of about 10 people, we just used the restroom before then going to Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll bar. The music was so good! The vibes were also great, and the drinks could not have been better. We all made our way to the second story to watch the band, and we each had atleast three drinks. The band had us dancing the night away! We had an incredible night, and did not leave until 1 AM.
About 1:30, all loaded up in the Uber to take us home, and I realized I could no longer hear. I think that’s how you know a great night was had.
Arriving home we saw our sweet baby sleeping next to her grandparents, and were super happy to go to bed.
In West Nashville, you can visit Centennial Park which has a life-size replica of the Parthenon! The weather was perfect, so we packed a soccer ball and the boys ran around for a few hours, while the girls hung out, talked, and people watched. There were so many people walking around the park. Someone even came up to us and asked to take pictures while they practiced with their new camera.
The park is a great place to bring a picnic or a few snacks. Not everything in the city cost money or much planning before hand. You can also walk inside and check out the art gallery housing 63 paintings. This was a great spot for every to unwind from our night before, and to build up some energy for what we had planned ahead.
After our visit in the park, we spent two hours at Top Golf. Tuesdays are half off, so we took advantage of that.
I was very hungry once arriving. To my surprise,Top Golf has many vegetarian/vegan options! I got the black bean burger, and it was perfect. They even sent out a second one for free. The staff was amazing!
If you didn’t know, Tennessee is the leader in the distilled spirits industry, and has been for a long time. I’m not a big drinker myself, but after reading and learning about the history behind Tennessee’s fight to continue making the legendary Tennessee Whiskey, I was more than down to do a little brewery hopping for the day.
There are more than 30 breweries in the Nashville area, that all have something different to offer than the next. Whether you are a drinker, or not, there is something for everyone in all of the breweries around.
I really enjoyed visiting the Tennessee Brew Works in downtown Nashville. The building is two stories tall, and there is space inside and outside to relax and enjoy any and everything on their menu. If you are lucky enough to go on a Saturday, they offer tours of the brewery. We weren’t able to go, but I highly doing so if you are even slightly interested!
So there you have it! The most perfectly relaxing way to spend 3 days in Nashville. There are so many sites to see, places to shop, and things to do!
You can see as much or as little as you’d like, by adding or taking away adventures! Have a fantastic time if you decide to visit Nashville.
