6 Go-To Classic Nail Colors You'll Want to Try For Summer

The seasons and weather totally affect what nail color I go for. When it’s dark and dreary outside, or if Christmas is right around the corner, I tend to go for darker or holiday colors! But summer time calls for the prettiest and brightest colors around… If only it could be summer year round.
Brightly colored nails that are thoughtfully picked can be a wonderful accessory, and also lets you express some of your personality and creativity.
Are you looking for the next nail color for your visit to the nail salon? Or maybe you do your nails at home like me. Either way, I have included my top six nail colors for this wonderful summery season we are in!

6 Summer Nail Colors
Off White / Creamy White
White nails are really perfect anytime of the year. I don’t think anyone would disagree. But there is something SO perfect about having a creamy off white nail color in the summertime! It will accentuate your fresh tan, whether its straight from the sun or straight from the self tanning bottle. 😜 Of course there’s nothing wrong with a classic white, but the off-white / creamy color is so chic and goes with any outfit you may put on.
It’s neutral, yet very clearly a tasteful choice that will look good on any skin tone, length, or shape of nail. It also pairs well with both gold and silver jewelry. If you’re a mixed metal girlie like me, you should really consider the color I have linked below!
Pink
Bright sugary pink nails are so in. They are always IN! But what better time than now? With your new summer glow a pink nail is the perfect choice. I love having pink nails because of how feminine it makes me feel. There is no better color than pink.
I do think choosing the right pink for you is important. As a fairer skinned person, I find more pigmented pinks to look better on my skin tone. However, if you have a darker skin tone, or more of an olive undertone, you may find a bubble bath pink looks great on you! Unfortunately it blends right into my skin, but I am linking a couple of options below!
Classy Red
Red might be the nail color of the year.. They are everywhere! There is a reason for this too. A wonderful red color is so feminine and classy and makes any outfit look put together. I do not think all reds are created equal, though.
In my opinion, darker reds are reserved for Christmas time, and bright cherry reds are perfect for summer! I am linking my absolute favorite red polish below, that will be perfect for the Fourth of July.
Bold Blue
Did you hear blue beauty is trending this year?? Maybe not, but I heard it was yesterday. A bold blue nail is so striking and the pop of color can do wonders for any outfit. It looks so beautiful on all skin tones, and lengths of nails.
A good cobalt blue is great for summer, but really are shades of blue are for that matter. I have linked a couple of different shades of blue that I really enjoy myself.
French Tips
French tips are not a trend, they are superior for life. There is nothing more classic or classy than a French tip. It looks great on all lengths of nails, and all hands. It is forever my go-to. I am linking my favorite two nail color combos for French tips, but any salon should be able to do a perfect frenchie!
These were my nails when I got engaged, and will 100% be my nails when I get married! I feel so elegant when my nails are painted with French tips.
Bonus: Bright Orange
Does orange not scream summer? I haven’t done an orange nail yet, but after my Fourth of July red nails, I am going orange. It is so perfect for summer vacation! Can you imagine the perfect bright orange color nails for your summer in Europe? So fabulous!
